Our 580W Premium Frameless Infrared Heating Panel provides a sleek, yet no-nonsense approach to the revolutionary infrared heating systems we specialise in here at Surya Heating.
This frameless panel that measures 600 x 1000 x 22mm is perfect for mounting on a wall, freeing up your entire floor space so that you can arrange your furniture however you want.
The plain white colour scheme, combined with the lack of frame also makes this ideal for office or commercial use too.
It connects directly to your 230V mains supply too – coming supplied with all the brackets, screws, and a template so that you can mount it easily.
The surface itself reaches temperatures of 110oC, as it beams out 580W of clean, safe infrared heat.
Be sure to have a look through our discount codes and special offers, where you could save some money off the cost of your panels.
Please note that the advised heated areas are for guidance only. For a more accurate heated area that is more relevant to your home, please either use our Calculator located at the top of this page, or speak to one of our Customer Services advisors about your room.
Our wider selection of white IR panel heaters give you the choice of varying levels of power and size, for all kinds of rooms.
To begin with, our 600W IR panel is available with a frame too, and you can even choose which colour you’d like the frame in – white, silver or black.
You may need to go for more power, or less depending on the size of your room. For smaller rooms, you may want to consider our 360W Premium Frameless Infrared Heating Panel. It measures 595 x 595mm, and can be used in smaller areas of your home.
Larger rooms may benefit from the 720W Premium Frameless Infrared Heating Panel, due to its larger size and therefore its increased level of heat. As it measures 595 x 1195mm, it can be used in small to medium sized spaces in your house.
If you like the size of our featured panel but want something a little more eye-catching, then why not have a look through our 600 x 1000mm Printed IR Heating Panels – with a wide selection of stunning images that are available for your heater.
Calculating the number of units you need for any sized room is a relatively simple affair. All you need is a measuring tape, a calculator, and some info on how well insulated your home is.
Firstly, you need to measure the size of your room. Once you have the length, width and height, you can multiply these numbers together to get the volume in cubic metres.
Then, you’ll need to multiply the volume by the recommended wattage depending on the level of insulation in your home. These recommendations can be seen in the table below.
Level of Insulation |
Recommended Wattage per m3 |
Poor Insulation (home built before 1930) |
30W per m3 |
Moderate Insulation (home built between 1930-1980) |
25W per m3 |
Good insulation (home built post-1980, or has been reinsulated recently) |
20W per m3 |
Once you have the total wattage requirement for the room, you can start to look at which panels and how many you need. So for example, if your wattage requirement for your room is 1200W, then 2 of our featured 580W panels will be perfect.
Please remember that this is for guidance purposes, and whether you would like more or less heat than the calculations suggest is down to personal preference.
Our infrared panels work in a completely different way to normal convection heaters. Standard radiators work by heating up the particles of air around them, creating what is known as a convection current.
When you then walk through this air, you feel the warmth.
Infrared panels work by heating objects instead of the air, through the use of infrared waves. These waves bounce around the room and the objects absorb the heat in them, and emit them back out.
This is the same way that the sun provides warmth for us, and this type of heating carries with it a number of advantages.
Convection currents circulate dust, mites and germs, spreading bacteria and increasing the likelihood that you’ll fall ill. It’s also detrimental for people who suffer from respiratory problems.
IR heat doesn’t affect the quality of air, as it provides a dry heat that doesn’t circulate. It won’t absorb and spread moisture too, so it’s much healthier to breathe.
Because infrared panels heat objects rather than the air, they use considerably less energy as a result – there is less surface area to heat up in a room than there is volume of air.
This helps reduce your carbon footprint, and is more eco-friendly as a result.
A direct consequence of using less energy is that your electricity bills will come for less when compared to electric convection heaters.
Our infrared panels also require no servicing, as there are no moving parts. Your boiler on the other hand does need servicing, and could cost you thousands if something goes wrong and you need to repair it.
Say goodbye to ugly radiators – our sleek panels are available with a range of images, and even let you have your own images printed on them.
So, to an untrained eye, your IR panel would appear to just be a framed picture – hiding the fact that it’s a heater altogether.
Mounting the panel on your wall also means you free up the entirety of your floor space – you don’t have to worry about blocking any radiators.
As standard, all our panels unless otherwise stated come with a 14 day returns policy. If you’re not happy with anything, then you can get a full refund or exchange at any point during this period.
All you need to do is send back your panel with all the parts and packaging in condition fit for sale, and we’ll handle the rest.
In the longer term, all our panels are covered by our 2 year replacement warranty, though the chance of anything going wrong in the longer term are highly unlikely. You can then upgrade this to 5 years at no extra cost.
