One of Australia’s largest cities, Sydney is best known for its self-titled opera house and harbour bridge. This highly populated metropolis sees 1000s of tourists travel far and wide to schmooze on Bondi Beach and visit the Kangaroos.
The Mirrorstone 595x1195 Sydney NXT Gen Infrared Heating Panel 700W is a larger 595mm x 1195mm x 22mm unit with an aluminium surface. Heating to a surface temperature on 75 – 95°C, this panel can heat a wide 11 – 12m².
Great to mount onto a wall, this radiator is IP54 rated to protect it against splashes of water and is powered simply by your mains input by 230V.
Differing from convection heating, IR energy is a new and complicated technology to grasp when you have been used standard means of heat for so long. We are here to make the transitional process as easy as possible. But let’s first decode what infrared is.
Infrared energy is electromagnetic waves that are natural and are also emitted from the Sun. You may not be used to this energy for heating but it is most likely used in your television remotes. These waves, travelling at the speed of light, will work to heat objects and bounce of them to continue to spread heat. Therefore, they do not heat the air and create a thermal mass instead.
There are many benefits of using IR heating panels including feeling the heat quicker as it takes less time to warm up, less germs being spread through convection heating and a reduction of mould in the home as walls are kept dry. Not to mention that maintenance is a myth with our self-sufficient frames.
In 2018, the Government issued the LOT20 legislation that requires all heaters to be as energy efficient as possible. Coming with a built-in thermostat and a remote control, our units all abide by these regulations.
With the Automated Temperature Control, the panel will turn itself on and off to maintain a chosen warmth and the addition of the 7-Day Timer allows you to select times you want the radiator to come on during weekdays and weekends.
Another great function is the Open Window Detection in which if the panel detects a temperature drop of 1.5°C in 3 minutes, it will turn off to increase efficiency. Finally, Adaptive Start will calculate how long it will take to reach a particular temperature and turn on early to work up to it.
Installing your heater has never been easier than with a range of options with the Mirrorstone radiators.
The most popular option in mounting panels is to affix them onto the wall. Each unit comes with 2 sturdy aluminium brackets on the back and 2 screws in the box. Simply drill the screws into the wall and rest the unit on top by using the cross-hair bolt insertion holes.
If you would like to suspend the frame from the ceiling, purchase a suspension kit alongside the panel and hang from each corner. This a not a great idea for a suspended or fake ceiling but better for normal ones to increase airflow.
To create a portable heater, add panel stands onto the bottom and take your heater into different spaces with you.
The panels are incredibly slim with a depth of just 22mm. Unlike bulky convection heaters, your IR panel will not be fit low to the ground and protrude out to take up space. Instead, our units fit flush to the wall or completely stay out of the way if suspended.
This makes them super modern as they can be installed higher up to save floor space and avoid any minor injuries. Not to mention, they can easily be disguised with images to appear as canvases – rather than giving away their true function.
With a wide range of image and finish options, we are sure to have a heater than matches your style.

To install your panel or bar heater, drill 4 holes into your wall as per the mounting template provided with your heater.
For panels, insert the wall plugs, followed by the screws, and use the cross-hair bolt insertion hole brackets on the back of the panel to mount it in place.
For bar heaters, use the provided screws to mount the brackets onto your wall, and then onto the back of the heater. Use the provided wing nuts to secure the wall brackets and heater brackets together at an angle best suited for your area.
Plug the heater into your mains, or get a qualified electrician to hardwire it for you.
Infrared heaters use up to 60% less energy than electric convection heaters, because they warm up objects rather than the air.
As they have no moving parts, they require zero maintenance.
At just 22mm thick, and best installed at head height, they can save massive amounts of space, allowing you to use your entire floor space.
Our infrared panels are far better looking than conventional radiators, giving your home a more modern look.
Once they have reached the end of their huge 100,000 hour lifespan, they almost fully recyclable, further helping the environment even after they’re no longer fit for use.
