A deluge of molten lava forges a path through a volcanic mountain range, creating new geological shapes and forms in its wake. The sky is hazy, filled with the smoke and heat of creation, and you’ll also bask in warmth as this stunning image doubles as an infrared heating panel.

Hailing from Mirrorstone Heating, this innovative pre-printed image panel heater measures 595 x 595mm and can be mounted either on a wall or on a ceiling. This is thanks to the brackets affixed to its rear side and the full complement of fixing screws that are included in the box.

Manufactured using PET, the surface of this IR panel will reach 115°C, but don’t worry because the thermoplastic polymer radiates heat in such a way that it won’t burn you if you touch it by accident.

This infrared panel heater is available with a choice of three differently-finished frames, so you’ll go for white, silver or black aluminium, depending on your taste and your home’s décor.

An Enormous Number Of Choices

While the beauty and grandeur of this panel’s Volcanic Warmth image aren’t in doubt, your preference might be for an artistic masterpiece or a cityscape. If that’s the case don’t worry because we have a massive selection of other amazing image IR heating panels for you to choose from.

The 600 x 600 sized panels are very popular indeed with our customers, and there are plenty of great images in these dimensions. No less dramatic is the Thunderstorm panel, depicting a violent lightning strike on a US skyscraper which, like the featured model, emits 350w of safe, comfortable infrared heat.

Another superb urban image is the City Rush, a time-lapse picture showing one of the Interstates entering US city Atlanta. The way the photo has been taken highlights the violet colour in the skyscrapers, offsetting it against the strident orange of the traffic’s beams.

As you may or may not be aware, the panel’s size dictates the amount of heat it can generate, so we have panels of many different dimensions to accommodate your home’s heating requirements.

The featured 600 x 600mm is the smallest of our panels, but we have every size up to 1000 x 1200mm. This will have a significant bearing on the number of IR panels you choose to heat your home.

When you are deciding which to purchase, you’ll need to have two pieces of information to hand:

  • The dimensions of your room, calculated in metres cubed (m³);
  • Your room’s level of insulation.

Once you’ve ascertained both these facts, choosing the correct number and type of IR panels you’ll need is quite simple and, in order to ensure that you get exactly the right number and size of panel, we’ve included an easy-to-use ready-reckoner on every description page, as well as devising a “How To Buy Infrared Heating Panels Guide”.

Infrared Panels – How They Work

The way that Infrared work differs enormously from the convector heaters that we’ve used in our homes for so long.

Whereas convection radiators heat the air around them, creating currents of rising and falling air, IR panels generate Infrared waves which heat the objects in a room. This gives them a number of advantages over traditional heating systems:

They’re Eco-Friendly

Because infrared heats objects and not the air, they consume much less power than traditional electric convection heaters.

Because they consume less power than gas or other electric heaters, they produce a far smaller amount of CO2 to generate it and, as a result, your home will have a much-reduced carbon footprint and cause significantly less damage to the environment.

They’ll Save You Money

A lower energy requirement isn’t only environmentally beneficial; it means you’ll save a great deal of money on your electricity bills too.

In order to illustrate exactly how much you stand to save when you install IR heating, we’ve formulated a case study comparing them with both electric and gas-powered central heating.

It’s also worth remembering that our infrared panel heaters require no servicing or maintenance, despite having an incredibly long expected lifespan.

Unlike gas and electric boilers they have no moving parts that can go wrong, so their 100,000 hour, 30-year working life will be spent doing what they’re meant to do – heat your home.

They’re Healthier Than Your Existing Heaters

Convection causes needless air circulation in your home. While air circulation may sound like a good thing it is, in fact, quite the opposite as it carries dust and mites which will aggravate the sinuses and exacerbate respiratory disorders.

IR heaters are better health-wise. The infrared waves don’t stir up the air, so you’ll never again have to suffer that awful stuffy, congested sensation.

The rising warm air caused by traditional convectors absorbs moisture and then releases it on your walls and windows as it cools.

Moisture and dampness are never a good idea indoors and convection heating increases the likelihood of mould development and growth, whereas the dry warmth of IR actively discourages it.

They’re Discreet And They’ll Save Space

At just 22mm thick, Infrared panel heaters are a lot more discreet than the ungainly storage convector heaters they’ve been designed to replace.

As you’ve already discovered, the potential to blend your IR panels in with their surroundings is great. However, you’ll be able to distract the eye from their true purpose to an even greater extent, thanks to custom printed panels which can be disguised as a family photo or even as a picture of your favourite football team.

All you’ll need to do is order one through the usual channels and then send us the photo or image you’d like printed on your panel. We’ll take it from there, and in 7 to 10 days you’ll be installing an amazing IR panel with an image of your choice printed upon it.

By installing an IR panel on your wall or your ceiling, you’ll also be saying goodbye to the dead space your former heater used to occupy. This is an important factor, especially these days when living space is at a premium.
