The 995x1195 Caligula's Palace and Bridge NXT Gen Infrared Heating Panel 1200W from Mirrorstone is a large 995mm x 1195mm x 22mm heater. Recommended to be mounted onto a wall, it will reach a surface temperature between 75 - 95°C and is also protected against splashes of water with an IP rating of 54.
Plug into your 230v mains input, it will be powered by just 1200W and is made with a durable FIR coating for a sturdy finish. Finish with your choice of a white, silver or black frame to match your existing décor.
Infrared is still the new kid on the block when it comes to heating. Working completely different to standard gas or electric radiators, it is important to understand how it works.
Typically, traditional heaters work by filling up with hot water. This then makes the air around it hot and once it has warmed up, the air will rise. As it rises, it begins to cool and will then drop. This process of the air moving creates a cycle which is called a Convection Current. When you pass through this, you will feel the heat.
Infrared, on the other hand, emits IR rays that will bounce around the space. They will hit objects and people for them to absorb heat – once hit, the target will remit the rays back out. The best way to describe the heat given off is that of stepping into the Sun on a hot day, without the harmful UV rays.
The key difference between the two is that convection heaters work by heating the air in the room whereas IR rays heat objects themselves.

The super intelligent Adaptive Start feature allows you to set a temperature you want the panel to reach at a certain time. It will then wake up early in order to work up to this goal! Finally, for increased efficiency, with Open Window Detection, the unit will turn off if there is a sudden drop in temperature caused by an open window.

You can return your panel if you are not happy with it within 14 days of receiving it.
To install your panel or bar heater, drill 4 holes into your wall as per the mounting template provided with your heater.
For panels, insert the wall plugs, followed by the screws, and use the cross-hair bolt insertion hole brackets on the back of the panel to mount it in place.
For bar heaters, use the provided screws to mount the brackets onto your wall, and then onto the back of the heater. Use the provided wing nuts to secure the wall brackets and heater brackets together at an angle best suited for your area.
Plug the heater into your mains, or get a qualified electrician to hardwire it for you.
Infrared heaters use up to 60% less energy than electric convection heaters, because they warm up objects rather than the air.
As they have no moving parts, they require zero maintenance.
