Even if your Wi-Fi signal drops out, you’ll still be able to control your heating easily thanks to the included remote control. This handy little device lets you switch your heating on and off at range, as well as adjust your goal temperature.

This remote doesn’t have the same range as the Smart Life app, but it’s a great option for easy control when you’re in the room with your panel. How Does Infrared Work?

The key fundamental difference between infrared and convection heating is that infrared heats objects instead of the air.

The panels beam out infrared waves that travel through a room until they hit an object. This could be a wall, a piece of furniture, or even you.

The object absorbs some of the energy in the waves, whilst the rest bounces off. The object radiates the heat back out into the room – essentially turning everything into a radiator!

This uses far less energy, as there is less surface area in a room than there is volume of air. Not only that, but it is also better for you as infrared doesn’t circulate air, dust and germs whilst heating your room.
