If you’re searching for a way of adding some extra heat to your warehouse, office, home or garden, then an excellent Mirrorstone infrared bar heater could definitely be the one for you. They’re far more efficient, better for the environment, and look much better than traditional radiators. This specific bar heater measures approximately 980mm by 345mm, and, with its 2200w power output, can heat a large area of 24m2. With a depth of 272mm, you can mount this to the ceiling or the wall without it jutting out too much.
Made from superior glass and aluminium materials, you can place your total trust in the heater to both look good, and not fail randomly. It can reach a surface temperature of around 200-300˚C, which is hotter than a traditional radiator. However, this won’t be a problem, as it can be installed much further up on the wall than a conventional heater, so there’s much less chance of you accidentally coming into contact with it.
It comes supplied with an IP44 rating, which protects it against any accidental splashes of water. However, if it is to be installed outside, we recommend it be under cover, in case of heavy rain.
What is Infrared Heating?
Infrared heating is a brilliant new way to heat your home that relies on different methods than traditional heaters. It is far more efficient, as it heats the objects in the room, rather than the air around it. This is because the surface area of the objects is always less than the volume of air around it. In fact, infrared heating can actually cut your heating bills by around 60%!
It works by firing infrared beams around which bounce off of the objects, leaving them warmed. This is in contrast to conventional radiators, which warm the air around them. This can result in convectional currents, where the warm air rises, cools, and falls again, requiring more heat. This can also promote dust circulation, cold spots, and mould growth, which is why infrared heating is seen as better for your health.
Infrared heating is also completely safe, as it just uses the same technology as TV remote controls, laser quest, or heat vision cameras. It’s also the same heat that our bodies, and the sun emit, except there’s no harmful UV radiation.
Easy to Install
There’s no need to worry about trying to install this heater, as it’s very easy to mount. You will not need any extra assistance at all – let alone any electricians, plumbers or other professionals.
You can do it all yourself! They are completely plug-and-play compatible, so there’s no complicated work to do - just actually mounting the heater onto the wall.
It’s very easy to do, with no difficult stages at all. All you have to do is simply drill a few holes into the wall, and you’re good to go.
Just screw the two rear-mounted brackets into the wall, and you can plug it into the wall. Remember, the brackets are adjustable, too, so you can direct the heat at specific angles.
The LED Light
When you first glance across, it might be hard to know exactly what your bar heater is doing at any given moment.
If you’re sat a distance away from the heater, you may not know if it’s actually emitting heat. You don’t need to worry though, as we’ve included a little bonus feature to make your life more straightforward.
Basically, whenever the heater is on and generating heat, a small red LED light will switch on. When the bar heater is off, the LED will follow suit and turn off itself.
This useful feature lets you know when your heater is definitely doing its job and when it’s been told not to, so you can rest assured it is definitely doing as you’ve asked.

Installation Guide
To install your bar heaters, slide the brackets with the threading into the slots in the back of the bar heater, and fix them into place using the wing nuts provided. Then, screw the non-threaded brackets into the wall where you wish to mount your heater. Using the wing nuts provided, fix the two sets of brackets together at the angle you wish to have your bar heater pointing.
Free standing patio heaters can simply be placed on flat ground (or table for table-top patio heaters) and switched on when needed.
Hanging patio heaters can be suspended easily using the durable steel chain, allowing you to suspend it at any height up to 0.6m.
