This Mirrorstone panel measures 595mm by 995mm, and has a wattage of 580W, meaning it can heat an area of around 9-10m². This panel is made from high quality FIR Coating, which can reach a maximum surface temperature of between 75 and 95˚C. This is the same as a standard radiator, but of course these can be installed higher up on the wall. This means that they are less likely to be accidentally touched. It comes with an IP54 rating, to protect it against splashes.

Infrared Heating: An Explanation

One of the best things about infrared heating is its eco-friendliness, and how it can save you money. It uses less energy than other heaters, and can save you around 60% on your heating bills! The way it does this is by heating objects in the room, rather than the air around it. It uses infrared beams that are fired around the room, bouncing off of the objects, and leaving them warmed.

Infrared heating therefore doesn’t result in convectional currents. This is where the air is warmed, rises to the ceiling, cools, and falls again, requiring reheating. This is bad for your health, causing cold spots, mould growth, and dust circulation. It’s also very inefficient. Infrared heating is much better, as it heats objects not air, and is therefore better for your health.

Infrared heating is also completely safe, despite the idea of radiation sounding scary. It’s the same heat that the sun provides, but without any harmful UV radiation. It’s exactly the same rays that are emitted by your TV remote, or laser quest games!

You can adjust your goal temperature as well as turn the heater on and off, no matter where you are, as long as you have a signal. You’ll also be able to set various timers through meaning you can have your heater come on automatically when it’s most convenient to you.

Keep Things Simple With A Remote

Even if your Wi-Fi signal drops out, you’ll still be able to control your heating easily thanks to the included remote control. This handy little device lets you switch your heating on and off at range, as well as adjust your goal temperature.

This remote doesn’t have the same range as the Smart Life app, but it’s a great option for easy control when you’re in the room with your panel. It’s also fantastic if you’re not glued to your phone 24/7, or if you have people or guests in your house who don’t want to go through the whole pairing process.

Easy to Install

These heaters are extremely straightforward to install. There’s no difficult electrical or plumbing work, so you don’t have to worry about hiring anyone. These heaters are completely plug-and-play compatible, with a UK mains 3-pin plug and a 2m long power cable. To mount them on the wall, you only really need yourself. Using the stencil that’s provided in the box, drill two holes in the wall and put the screws in.

After that, just hang the panel on the screws using the two brackets on the back. That’s all there is to it. You can also suspend it from the ceiling, or use an infrared heater stand to make it portable.

Gorgeous Appearance

These infrared panels are extremely slim, and so fit quite neatly against your wall. They can be installed higher up on your wall than a clunky radiator, as you don’t need to worry about the warm air rising to the ceiling. This means it can be a feature of your home, rather than an ugly necessity.
