A man-made pile - or stack - of stones, a cairn is a Scottish Gaelic term meaning ‘heap of stones’. One common purpose of one is to guide hikers, by marking a trial or a turn or a mountain top. They are also said to have religious, astronomical and even defensive purposes or used to honour the dead or denote burial sites.
Majestic and full of wonder, the 595x595 Mysterious Cairn Nexus Infrared Heating Panel 350W from Mirrorstone features a stunning image. With bright colours and heightened depth in the picture, it graces this FIR Coating panel. Sized at 595mm x 595mm x 22, it will reach to surface temperatures between 75-95°C so we recommend mounting it high on a wall.
Protected against splashes of water with an IP54 rating, it will require 350W from your 230V mains input. Small but mighty, this panel will heat a concentrated area of 4-7m².
Add a professional finish with your choice of either a white, silver or black frame.
What Is Infrared?
A member of the electromagnetic spectrum, Infrared rays cannot be seen by the naked eye. Instead, we can feel their warmth. It is given off by the Sun and that is the heat that we feel when stepping into its rays on a hot day. The notable difference is that our heaters do not emit harmful UV waves, whereas the Sun does.
Our panels function by releasing Infrared waves into your room, which then bounce around – hitting into targets and people as they go. These are both absorbed and reflected, warm up the objects and then continue their journey to heat the rest of the space. This is a big contrast to standard heaters that only will only heat the air around them – rather than direct targets.

You can control your Nexus panels from anywhere in the world just by using your mobile phone, all you have to do is connect to the Smart Life app, and you’ll have complete control in your pocket.
You can adjust your goal temperature as well as turn the heater on and off, no matter where you are, as long as you have a signal. You’ll also be able to set various timers through meaning you can have your heater come on automatically when it’s most convenient to you.
Keep Things Simple With A Remote
Even if your Wi-Fi signal drops out, you’ll still be able to control your heating easily thanks to the included remote control. This handy little device lets you switch your heating on and off at range, as well as adjust your goal temperature.
This remote doesn’t have the same range as the Smart Life app, but it’s a great option for easy control when you’re in the room with your panel. It’s also fantastic if you’re not glued to your phone 24/7, or if you have people or guests in your house who don’t want to go through the whole pairing process.
The Future Of Heating
Until our IR heating panels came along, there wasn’t many cost effective and discreet methods of heating your space.
One of the biggest disadvantages of traditional forms of heating is that it creates dead space. This is the area in front of the heater that can’t be made use of as it will block in the heat. Thankfully, our panels have a thickness of just 22mm and can also be affixed higher up on a wall or a ceiling. Therefore, you are free to use the space in your room effectively – without making any sacrifices.

Easy Installation
To give you variation as to how you use your panels, there are three different ways you can install and use them. They are all plug-and-play so simply ensure they are near a plug socket.
The most popular choice is to wall mount them. Easy enough to do on your own, you will simply need to just drill the metal screws into the wall and hang the panel from them, using the cross-hair bolt insertion holes on the reverse of the unit.
Have the panels completely out of the way by hanging them from the ceiling. Simply purchase a Suspension Kit and have them overhead.
Finally, with a set of Panel Stands clamped to the bottom, you can have the unit float around with you!

Installation Guide
Simply use the drill template to drill into your wall, insert the wall plugs into the holes, and then place the screws inside the wall plugs. Finally, mount the panel by lining up the brackets with the protruding screws, pushing towards the wall, and then downwards to fix into place.
