If you’d like to add some extra heat to your room, or improve on the heating system that you already have, then an infrared heater is perfect. They have plenty of different advantages over traditional heating methods, including central heating. This gorgeous Mirrorstone panel measures 595mm by 995mm, and has a wattage of 580W. This will allow it to heat an area of approximately 9-10 m². Thanks to its slender depth of just 22mm, you’ll be able to fit it very flush to your wall.

The panel is made from premium FIR Coating materials, which can reach a surface temperature of around 75-95˚C. This is slightly hotter than a traditional radiator, but can obviously be installed well out of reach, so curious fingers cannot accidentally be burned. It comes with an IP54 rating, so it is protected against splashes.

How Does Infrared Heating Work?

Infrared heating is brilliant for the environment, as it is extremely energy-efficient. This can help you save lots of money – in fact, infrared heating can actually save you around 60% on your heating bills! It does this by heating the objects in the room, rather than the air around the heater. It fires infrared beams around the room, which bounce off of the objects in the room, leaving them warmed.

This means that the heater won’t cause any convectional currents in your room. This is where warmed air rises, cools, and falls again, before being warmed again. Not only is this inefficient, it can also negatively affect your health. That’s because it causes cold spots, mould and mildew growth, and dust circulation. Infrared heating does none of this, making it much better for your health.

This remote doesn’t have the same range as the Smart Life app, but it’s a great option for easy control when you’re in the room with your panel. It’s also fantastic if you’re not glued to your phone 24/7, or if you have people or  guests in your house who don’t want to go through the whole pairing process.

As previously mentioned, these panel heaters are extremely slim, and so can fit snugly against the wall. Because they don’t rely on hot air rising, they can be installed higher up on your wall, becoming more of an aesthetic feature than a clunky eyesore, like a normal radiator.

Easy Installation

These heaters are so easy to install. There’s no special work involved, so you don’t need to contact any electricians or plumbers. Just drill the two holes in the wall, and put the screws in.

After this, you just have to hang the panel onto the wall using the two rear brackets. There’s a 2m long cable on the back, with a UK 3-pin plug. The panel can also be suspended from the ceiling, or you can use an infrared heater stand to make it portable.
