How To Use Your Aurora IR Bar Heater Remote Control

The Aurora Infrared Bar Heater with remote control comes jam packed with functionality right out of the box, so we’re here to help you unpack it all so that you can get the most out of your brand new heater!

#1 Switching Your Aurora IR Bar Heater On & Off

You can press the On/Off button on your remote to switch your Bar Heater on and off.

#2 Adjusting Your Target Temperature

The Up and Down buttons on the remote to adjust the target temperature in 1 degree increments. The lowest it can can go is 5C, and the highest is 40C.

#3 Adjusting The Timer Settings

Pressing the Timer button on the remote will make a flashing 00 appear on your Bar Heater screen. From here, you can use the Up and Down buttons to set how long you want your Bar Heater on for, in 1 hour increments, all the way up to 24 hours. Simply leave the remote for a few seconds to save your settings.

#4 Switching Between High & Low Power Level

The Power Select button allows you to switch between 4 different power levels. You can choose between 25% power, 50% power, 75% power or 100% power.

#5 Viewing The Current Voltage

Pressing Set followed by Display shows you the voltage your Bar Heater is currently drawing.

#6 Switching Between Celsius & Fahrenheit

Pressing the Set button, followed by Up switches the display between degrees Celsius and degrees Fahrenheit.

#7 Locking & Unlocking Your Bar Heater

You can lock your Aurora Bar Heater by pressing the Set button, followed by Child Lock. You’ll see a lock icon appear on the Bar Heater screen. Simply repeat this process to unlock your Bar Heater.

#8 Toggling The Motion Sensor On & Off

Pressing the Body Sensor button toggles the motion sensor on and off. When it’s on you’ll see the person icon on your Bar Heater screen, during which the Heater will switch on when it detects movement. Simply press it again to switch it off.

#9 Toggling Smart Heating On & Off

The Smart Heating button toggles smart heating on and off. The ‘smart’ icon will appear on the Bar Heater screen when it’s on, during which the heater will automatically change the power level to keep your target temperature constant.

#10 Toggling Open Window Detection On & Off

Press Set followed by Power Select to toggle Open Window Detection on and off. When on, you’ll see a ‘WO’ on your Bar Heater screen, during which the heater will switch off automatically when it detects a sudden drop in temperature as a result of an open window. You can override this by simply switching the heater back on.
