The 180W Classic Infrared Heating Panel is a brilliant way to heat your home, and to make some savings on your heating bills, too. It’s on the small side, which means it’s perfect for hiding out the way, such as underneath a desk, or even in your bathroom. It measures just 600mm x 300mm, and it’s just 22mm deep, meaning it sits almost flush to the wall!
The panel is made from FIR Coating, which can reach temperatures of around 115˚C, but it can of course be installed out of reach. It’s IP54 rated, which means it can handle splashes of water comfortably, so it’s easy to clean with a damp cloth.
Please note that the advised heated areas are for guidance only. For a more accurate heated area that is more relevant to your home, please either use our Calculator located at the top of this page, or speak to one of our Customer Services advisors about your room.
If you wish to ceiling mount your IR Panel, you will need to purchase a Suspension Kit alongside it. We advise leaving a gap of at least 5cm between the ceiling and panel once installed in order to ensure adequate airflow behind the heater.
This panel will come with a clear film on its front that needs to be peeled off before first use. If you use the heater before peeling the film off, the film may discolour and melt onto the surface of the heater.
Please note that quoted heating area is based on optimum conditions.
Infrared heating works by firing infrared beams around your room, which heat up the objects they bounce off of. These beams are completely safe, as they are the same that your TV remote control probably uses. It’s also the same as the sun’s heat, although without any harmful UV rays.
There won’t be any stuffiness, as this heats objects not air, so there’s no cold spots or dust circulation. This can massively benefit your health, as there’s no dust circulation or cold spots, so there’s no mould or mildew in your room, either.
This 180W panel is great for heating small spaces, as it’s capable of heating a 3m2 space. Compared to central heating, infrared heating is a no-brainer really, as it can save you a whopping 60% on your heating bills!
Our infrared panels come with a brand new, highly advanced premium FIR Coating to help maximise the performance of your heater. It’s heat-resistant – meaning it can withstand temperatures up to 200oC without yellowing over time.
Not only that, but it will also help the carbon crystal heating element inside the panel distribute the IR waves better than ever before, thanks to a higher thermal efficiency, resulting in even more warmth in your home.
To top it all off, the coating is also far more secure than ever before, as it is fire resistant, ensuring your family and your home stay safe and warm.
The clean white finish is absolutely perfect to hide your heater in plain sight. In a kitchen or bathroom, you can add a little extra heat without having to resort to a clunky radiator, or an inefficient portable heater.
As it’s just 22mm in depth, you can easily pop it on the wall without it sticking out. With its small size, you can also hide it under a desk, or even use it in a downstairs cloakroom, for example, where space is a little tight.
Don’t forget, they can also be mounted on the ceiling, too, as they heat the objects and not the air, so there’s no rising hot air – just clean heat warming up the objects below.
Depending on how you use your panel, sometimes it may be handy to know when it is actually on.
You can of course plug it in, hard wire it, or use a thermostat to give you a better level of control.
However you choose to, we’ve integrated a blue LED in the corner, and the way it works is simple.
When the panel is on and emitting infrared heat around your room, the light will glow blue. When the panel switches off, so too will the LED light. This gives you the chance to see, at a glance, whether your heating panel is on or not!
The panels are so easy to install, too. There’s no complicated wiring or plumbing, as you can just take advantage of plugging it directly into the mains.
Plus, they’re simple to mount on your wall or ceiling.
They have brackets attached to the back of them already, so all you need is a couple of screws in your wall for them to hang on.
There’s a guide included, too. Just draw through the stencil provided, get the screws in the wall or ceiling, and mount your panel.
You’ll be up and running in minutes, and you can do it all yourself with ease. No plumbers, electricians, or handymen/women – just quick, efficient heat.
With a brilliant glossy white surface, it’s simple to just wipe clean with a damp cloth.
It’s sturdy too, and looks fantastic on your wall with its clean FIR Coating front.
The frame around the edge is tough white aluminium, so you know that the clean finish is continued.
On the back of the panel is a standard 240v junction box, with a generous 2 metres of heavy-duty flex and the standard UK 3-pin plug.
Don’t forget, if you wish to make your heater portable, you could always purchase one of our stylish infrared panel stands for a freestanding heating solution.
All of our white infrared heating panels come with a brilliant 14-day home trial period, so if you change your mind, you can either return or exchange it.
Mirrorstone also give you an incredible 2-year warranty, so there’s no need to worry about purchase protection. The warranty is extendable to 5 years at no extra charge.

Hi would this heater be any good in a caravan, it would be plugged into a 240v socket but don’t know if it would Be efficient enough?
Hi. Can the panel be painted?
Hi, can you tell me how much it weighs? I need to know for fixing brackets on wall for the 180W
Is it safe and legal to install this heater in a wet room style shower room which is unvented except for a small ceiling mounted extractor fan. The whole room gets filled with steam from the shower
Can you say exactly where the brackets on the back are, to the cm? I'm wondering if it would fit somewhere, and I'd need to know precisely where the screws would go, from the top of the panel.
Hi. One of your photos shows an under desk installation. How do you prevent the heat damage the wooden desk and creating a fire harzard? If it's possible to install under a desk, is it also possible to install under a breakfast bar in a kitchen, or a dining table positioned next to a wall?
Can you place inside a radiator cover to hid it from view. i.e. Use behind an open MDF grill 120mm deep ?
Hi, Does the 22mm measurement include the wall brackets, or is it just the panel thickness? Thanks.
Are the panel heaters suitable for installation in a covered out door area 6 metres by 6 metres snd would one suffice ( pub beer garden )
The 180W classic would have to be hard wired as there is no socket in the bathroom. This means removing your plug. Would this invalidate the warranty? Thanks
quelle dimension me faut il et si sa me suffit pour chauffer mon studio
How do i control the 180W Classic Infrared Heating Panel? Is it through the switch? Can this be controlled with the remote? If yes, which one to buy?
How much to run per hour please. We are looking at the smallest/cheapest one you sell. Thanks
Hi, are these heaters suitable for use in a conservatory and if so do you have any size 300mm high?
Hello, I have 2 questions: 1) which among your FIR panels have lower VOC emissions and if you could share any data in this regard. 2) in the event I need to return a product, will I have to pay for postage/courier? Thank you
Can I situate it behind a chair? I have a damp wall I would like to put it on. I have used a dehumidifier to dry the wall and want additional heat as it is a cold spot.
Just a few questions as I’m going to order 3 panels. They are for 3 sections of my pigeon loft. Firstly each section has a wall with 12 Nestboxes covering the whole wall which is 2m x 2m. Each box will have a pigeon perching on the front of them. I want to keep the section at 16 degrees during the week but increase to 18 degrees thurs and Friday. Will a panel achieve this. Also I intend mounting each panel at an angle pointing downwards to say the centre of the 12 boxes. Will the ir rays give equal heat to all boxes or will it project the rays to the same area as the size of the panel and be cooler towards the outside boxes. I’ll use a room thermostat to regulate the temp of each section
Can the heater be mounted at any height on the wall?
Is there an on/off switch on this unit?
Can the 180w heater be ceiling mounted? In the description it states it can but just wanting to double check Thanks
I have plastic wall cladding will this affect the cladding because of the heat if I was to mount it on a plastic clad wall. How much heat is generated behind the panel or is there some guidance for distance for a vertical wall with plastic cladding and with the same cladding on the ceiling the minimum distance from the ceiling.
Could you please let me know if this panel can be hung vertically on the wall. Many thanks.
Are these suitable to ceiling mount in a bathroom? Are they IP44 rated? Also how long is the power cable? I have a rubbish wall mounted electric towel rail that I want to replace with this IR heater but it needs to be ceiling mounted to stop little hands getting to it. (The bathroom is 2.2m x 2m x 2.25m with no windows or external walls). Thank you!
Hi we are setting up a B&B and want to use out porch as a drying room for boots and coats will one of these pannels provide enough heat to dry damp hanging clothing?
Hi there, I live in a 2 bedroom flat, bathroom, with a spacious living room and big open space kitchen. Do you think I can switch my old electric heaters (2000watt) with your ones? And if so what size and power I need? I would do it especially to save on bills.
Hi we have a bathroom which is cold, all the time due to having 3 external walls. We currently have a small towel rail and a fan heater on the wall which just eats money in electric bills. Will this be any more efficient price wise? As we have no power socket in the bathroom (the towel rail is plugged in to a socket which isn't a socket (sorry not very tech savvy the wire just sort of goes into the socket itself rather than a plug - hope that helps) if we do decide to purchase how do we connect it to mains?
Morning, I am slightly confused in your heater manual it states use hanging wire to install from the ceiling.. On this page it states use the screws and install direct to the ceiling ... Which is it ? A simple yes or no would make it clear to me. Can I take a 350w out of the box and screw the screws into the ceiling of my bathroom and then hang the panel on them? Thank you ..
Hi what does it cost to run
Would like to know can I fix a towel rail in front for my towels

Hi we have a feature wall that’s similar to lamanate flooring in construction. Could one of these heaters be hung on that wall ? Does the heater project heat at the back of the unit . Thanks
Hi, I am looking at getting 3 of these for a dog kennel I am building for someone which I think will work well, the roof is far lower than your normal room 1.8m but I am wondering if I got the thermostat sockets would they work as IR heating is not really known for heating the surrounding air and last thing I would want is dogs overheating from them even though I'm planning on the lowest powered version
Can your standard white infra-red radiator be covered with a stick on vinyl picture of our choice? Is there any restriction to the type of material the image is printed on that you need?
Can the panels be installed in any orientation?
Hi! I'd like to use this in a campervan conversion I am doing. What power usage does it draw? I guess I would have to run this off my 230v system through an inverter, do you know the Watt hours it uses? Also, does it come with a remote thermostat to control? If not, is there another version that does? Thanks
does the panel come with hanging brackets for under desk hanging
