The Smart Connectivity Explained

The Smart Life app allows full control of your portable panel with ease over a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection. Not only does this mean you need one less remote cluttering your coffee tables and sofas, but it also gives you distance control too.

Forgotten to switch your panel off? Don’t worry, just do it remotely from your phone. Want to preheat your panel before you get home? Simple, just flick it on when you’re on your way back.

Of course, the app also integrates with both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, so if for example you’re driving home and want to switch it on so it’s warm by the time you get home, you can simply use your voice by speaking your commands!

Remote Control

It’s also worth knowing that you can operate your heater without a Wi-Fi connection too, by using the supplied remote control.

All it needs is 2 x AAA batteries, and it’ll be ready to pair to your heater.

You can then switch your panel on and off, as well as change your target temperature.

It should be noted that in order for your thermostat to function correctly, you will need to pair your remote control anyway, as the temperature sensor for the thermostat is located on the top of the remote.

One of the biggest benefits of switching to infrared is the impact it has on your energy consumption. This is because of the way infrared works, and how it transfers heat from it to you.

Normal radiators heat the air, whereas infrared panels heat you directly.

Why does this matter?

Because heating surface area takes less energy than heating a volume of air, and as a result, infrared panels use, on average, up to 60% less energy than equivalent electric convection heaters.
