Look at this wonderful heating invention – a heater that’s more efficient, and doesn’t even look like a heater! The 1200W Classic Infrared Heating Panel is a brilliant way to heat your home for less. It measures 995mm by 1195mm, and thanks to its 1200w of power, can heat an area that’s 18-19m2!
The panel is constructed from high-quality FIR Coating, which looks fantastic, and is sturdy, too. It can reach temperatures of approximately 115˚C, which is not much higher than a conventional radiator. However, it can be installed well out of reach, either high up on the wall, or even on the ceiling! It’s IP54 rated, so can deal with splashes of water – it also means you can give it a quick clean with a damp cloth!
Please note that the advised heated areas are for guidance only. For a more accurate heated area that is more relevant to your home, please either use our Calculator located at the top of this page, or speak to one of our Customer Services advisors about your room.
If you wish to ceiling mount your IR Panel, you will need to purchase a Suspension Kit alongside it. We advise leaving a gap of at least 5cm between the ceiling and panel once installed in order to ensure adequate airflow behind the heater.
This panel will come with a clear film on its front that needs to be peeled off before first use. If you use the heater before peeling the film off, the film may discolour and melt onto the surface of the heater.
Please note that quoted heating area is based on optimum conditions.
Infrared heating is a method of interior heating that works very differently to how conventional radiators do. Rather than warming the air around it, infrared heating fires infrared beams around the room, which bounce off of the objects within, leaving them warmed. A traditional radiator warms the air around it, which can cause convectional currents.
Convectional currents are where the warm air rises to the ceiling, cools, and then falls again. This means it then needs to be heated again, which is inefficient. These currents also cause mould growth, cold spots, and dust circulation, which can be a negative influence on your health. The heat that infrared heaters provide is dry, non-stuffy, and completely clean. This is why infrared heaters are better for your health.
Infrared heating is completely safe, as it just uses the same technology as TV remote controls do. In fact, it’s actually the same kind of heat that the sun provides, but with no harmful UV radiation. And that’s not all – infrared heating can save your approximately 60% on your heating bills!
Our infrared panels come with a brand new, highly advanced premium FIR Coating to help maximise the performance of your heater. It’s heat-resistant – meaning it can withstand temperatures up to 200oC without yellowing over time.
Not only that, but it will also help the carbon crystal heating element inside the panel distribute the IR waves better than ever before, thanks to a higher thermal efficiency, resulting in even more warmth in your home.
To top it all off, the coating is also far more secure than ever before, as it is fire resistant, ensuring your family and your home stay safe and warm.
These panels are more than easy to install – you can do it all by yourself! That’s right, they’re easy enough to install that you just won’t need the help of plumbers or electricians or the like.
All they need is a little DIY – they’re completely plug-and-play compatible, so it’s just getting it onto your wall that you need to worry about.
And it’s not much of a worry, either. We supply a stencil in the box with every panel, so all you have to do is draw through the holes, and drill the holes into the wall.
With a couple of screws, you just have to hang the panel onto the screws using the two rear brackets.
You’ll be ready to go in just minutes, with no additional help required.
Given that you can use your panel by plugging it into the mains, hardwiring it, or by using a thermostat, it could potentially get a bit confusing as to when it’s actually supposed to be on or not.
That’s why we’ve integrated an LED light into the corner of the panel.
It works as easily as it sounds – when the panel is on, the LED light comes on so you know when your heater is beaming out infrared heat.
Conversely, when the panel is off, the LED light will be off too – it’s as simple as that!
With such a gorgeous clean white finish, it’s easy to disguise this panel as just another part of the wall. You can situate it in your bathroom or kitchen, where splashes of water don’t matter to the panel.
You can add extra heat to whichever room you choose, and you won’t need to resort to a bulky radiator, or an inconvenient and inefficient portable heater.
At just 22mm in depth, it can easily be mounted to the ceiling or wall without sticking out awkwardly.
Being able to be mounted on the ceiling is down to the way they actually disperse their heat. Because they fire infrared beams all over the room, you don’t have to worry about any hot air rising.
With a lovely glossy white finish, cleaning it is simple. Just a quick wipe with a damp cloth, and you’re sorted.
That’s all you’ll have to do to keep this panel doing fine, as there’s no maintenance or upkeep required at all. That’s right – unlike a boiler, that needs regular servicing and repairs, this panel will last for around 100,000 hours, or thirty years, without needing anything else spending on it.
On the rear is a standard 240v junction box, with 1.5m of heavy-duty flex cable, and a standard UK 3-pin plug. If you wish to make your heater portable, you could buy one of our infrared panel stands for a more flexible heating solution.
Included with our white infrared heating panels is a brilliant 14-day home trial period, so you could return or exchange it, if you change your mind.
Mirrorstone also provide these with an amazing 2-year warranty, so you can have peace of mind. This is extendable to 5 years for free.

Hi, Interested in a panel for my bathroom ceiling. Based on the calcs,I need about a 1200w panel. However, my ceiling is only 7 foot high. Is this safe to stand under(I am 6ft tall) or should I use multiple smaller panels - say 2*700w panels or a different configuration?
Hi. Can the 1200w classic panel be mounted on the ceiling, facing down? Do the brackets support this style of mounting?
Does the heat just come straight out from the panel or does it spread out to the sides a bit please? Looking at possibly using these to heat a congregation in a church. If they were stood around 3m away from the nearest row of people, would it just be the people in a 1.2m wide space who felt the heat or would it spread out to heat more people either side?
Can I fit this on the wall in portrait position instead of landscape (will brackets support that)???
The cable on my heater doesn't reach any of the plug sockets in my conservatory so I have been using an extension lead which looks unsightly and I am not entirely comfortable with to be honest..other than having a plug point fitted closer to the heater, have you any suggestions as to what I can do..cheers.
Once installed and plugged in you indicate that a green led light shows that the heating is on. How do you program the heating for certain times of the day and can you increase the temperature at particularly cold times in winter?
How much power is used to run a 1.8 kw bar heater at 22degrees for 4 hours ?
Are the panels suitable for placing behind sofas?
Hi, we are looking at these to fit to our conservatory roof. Can you advise the weight per 1200w panel? If we were wanting to put two in the same room can they be linked with the thermostat or do they need separate per panel ? If they do can you supply the next gen without a thermostat? Regards Gavin
