Please note that this Bar Heater does not come with a remote control included. If you would like a remote control included with your Zenos Bar Heater, please have a look at our 2.4kW Zenos Wi-Fi Remote Controllable Infrared Bar Heater.
The 2.4kW Zenos Infrared Bar Heater offers a stylish, premium heating experience that’s perfect for large rooms and near outdoor spaces such as conservatories. With a sleek black finish, this powerful heater can still keep you toasty and warm.
Measuring 1540mm by 150mm, with a depth of only 67mm, this bar heater uses 2.4kW of power and can heat a space of about 38m². While its surface will reach a heat of between 200-300°C, you can safely mount it well out of reach to reduce the risk of burns.
With an IP44 rating, this heater is protected from splashes of water, although if you intend to use it outdoors, we recommend it is given shelter to protect it from heavy rain or that you consider the IP65 rated Athena range.
Please note that the advised heated areas are for guidance only. For a more accurate heated area that is more relevant to your home, please either use our Calculator located at the top of this page, or speak to one of our Customer Services advisors about your room.
When using this heater with a standard 13A socket, we recommend hard wiring the heater directly to the mains supply.
We advise installing your bar heater at a height of at least 2m from the floor, with a clearance of at least 30cm all around the bar heater.
The fact that this heater produces infrared radiation may seem like a scary concept, but the fact is we experience it every single day. If you’ve ever stepped into the sunlight, you’ve experienced infrared! You can also ‘see’ it in action whenever you change the channel using a TV remote, or throw your food into an electric cooker.
Infrared is completely natural and harmless. Plus, unlike the sun, an infrared heater won’t release any dangerous ultra-violet radiation.
But in addition to simply being ‘not dangerous’, there’s evidence to suggest that IR heat might actually be beneficial for your health. Part of that is because IR heaters don’t circulate moist air through your room like convection heaters, so they don’t spread as much dust or mould.
IR heating also gets under your skin, which helps keep your blood circulating quickly. That speeds up your bodies natural healing process, which can relive stiffness and aid in post-exercise recovery.
You can get your bar heater up and running as soon as it arrives. All you’ll need is a drill, everything else is included in the package. Just get the two included adjustable brackets screwed into the wall and you’ll be ready to go.
Long-term, we’d highly recommend hardwiring this bar heater into your mains, but it does come with a plug for you to test it out.
Once your new heater is installed, it won’t require any additional maintenance for its entire lifespan- a lifespan that can last for up to 30 years in ideal conditions, with no servicing or check-ups needed. All you’ll need to do is give it an occasional wipe down to keep the surface dust free.
We go the extra mile beyond industry standards to ensure this heater is truly premium. In addition to rigorous testing to make sure that they’re safe to use, we construct our heaters from high-grade materials.
For example, the thermal casing is built from aluminium, which means it’s amazing at safely diffusing heat away from the core components of your heater, keeping them safe from strain. This helps improve their efficiency and their lifespan.
We also use whole piece ceramic fibre insulation, which makes that thermal efficiency even better. Even the T-type screws we use are designed to avoid warping over time.
Operating silently and producing no light means it can be hard to tell at a glance if your heater is doing what it should be. To keep things seamless, we include a small, subtle LED indicator. When your heater is on, the light will be too.
Not certain if infrared heating is for you? Our heaters come with a free 14-day returns period, giving you plenty of time to test your heater and decide if it works for you. There’s zero risk attached, so you can take a chance on revolutionising your home without stress.
Not only that, we also offer a fantastic 2-year warranty policy to cover you in the event of any issues. Need more? You can extend this warranty to five years at no extra cost!
