This heater is NOT remote controllable. If you would like a remote controlled model, please consider the 2.4kW Helios Wi-Fi Remote Controllable Infrared Bar Heater instead.
Extremely versatile, an infrared bar heater such as this can be deployed in your home, garden, office, or even your warehouse if you’re looking for some extra warmth. A Mirrorstone infrared bar heater can save you plenty of money on your heating bills, thanks to its superior efficiency. This specific bar heater measures approximately 1500mm by 150mm, with a power output of 2.4kW. This is enough to heat a massive area – around 38m2!
There are 2 finishes available that you can choose from: Black or White.
With a depth that’s just 63mm, you’ll have no problem mounting this on the ceiling or wall, as it won’t stick out too much. Made from premium aluminium, you don’t have to worry about this heater suffering from too much wear and tear. It can reach a surface temperature of around 200-300˚C, which is hotter than a traditional radiator. However, there’s no need to worry, because this heater can be installed well out of reach of any accidental touches, so you’re very unlikely to suffer any burns. It comes supplied with an IP44 rating, meaning it’s protected against splashes of water.
However, if it is installed outside, it is advised that you install it under a cover, in case of heavy rain.
Please note that the advised heated areas are for guidance only. For a more accurate heated area that is more relevant to your home, please either use our Calculator located at the top of this page, or speak to one of our Customer Services advisors about your room.
When using this heater with a standard 13A socket, we recommend hard wiring the heater directly to the mains supply.
When purchasing any product from Surya Heating, you can rest assured that you’re buying authentic Mirrorstone products, that have been stringently tested to meet quality standards.
This is why you should be wary of purchasing lower quality products, which might put you or your home at risk.
Infrared heating is a revolutionary method of heating your indoor or outdoor space. It is far more efficient than traditional heating methods, and it looks far better than a clunky radiator, too. Your heating can actually become part of your interior design, rather than just obstructing you doing more with it. It heats your space in a completely different way, too. It heats the objects in the room, rather than the air around it, which requires less energy.
In fact, it can actually save you around 60% on your heating bills! It works by firing infrared beams around the room, which bounce off of any objects in the room, leaving them warmed. This is far more efficient than heating the air around it, as traditional heating methods do. This is because they cause convectional currents, which is where the warm air rises, cools, and falls again. This can also promote dust circulation, mould growth and cold spots.
This is how infrared heating is more efficient, and better for your health. Infrared heating is also completely safe, despite the word ‘radiation’ sounding scary. Infrared waves have a number of different uses, whether it’s for heating, laser quest, night vision camera, or your TV remote control. Our own bodies give off infrared radiation, and it’s the same heat that the sun provides. There’s no nasty side effects, and no UV radiation, either.
If you’re sat out the way of the heater in your room, or over the other side of the warehouse, then you may not know whether your infrared bar heater is actually on at that exact time.
There’s no need to worry, however, as we’ve included a feature that will make your life easier. To make it simple, whenever the heater is on, and emitting heat, then a small red LED light will turn on. When you switch the bar heater off, the LED will do the same, and also turn off.
This useful extra lets you know when exactly your heater is doing its job, and when you have told it not to, so you can have confidence that it is definitely doing what you have asked it.
These heaters are very easy to install, despite the reputation that heaters may get. They each come with a 1.5m cable, found on the right of the panel as you face it.
You won’t need any professional help, so don’t worry about calling up any plumbers or electricians. It’s a do-it-yourself, one-person job, so relax.
The heater is completely plug-and-play compatible, so you can do it all yourself. The only real work that needs doing is just actually mounting the heater. It’s easy to do, as the brackets are adjustable. Just drill into the wall, and you can screw the two rear-mounted brackets, and mount it onto the wall. Because of the adjustable nature of the brackets, you can direct the heat to different areas.
Please be aware that if the units are not cleaned regularly, a build-up of dust may appear. Find out more about how to maintain your heaters here!
We advise installing your bar heater at a height of at least 2m from the floor.

Hello, Just wondering as read in comments that this shouldn’t be plugged into an extension cable. Therefore the only place I could position this would be right near the hatch of my loft which Would let the heat escape. Would the room still heat up? The space of the loft is insulated but not too well. The space is 6x5 and wondering if the item can be placed high on the wall or would that mean the room wouldn’t heat very well either? Thanks.
What’s the cost per hour of the 2400w on maximum temperature please?
