Revolutionise the way you heat your home, warehouse, or even your garden with a highly efficient, eco-friendly heating solution that looks great. A Mirrorstone infrared bar heater is the future of heating, today. Measuring approximately 1200mm by 150mm, this bar heater is capable of heating an area of around 28m2! At just 63mm in depth, your heater will not stick out from the wall or ceiling too much. There are 2 finishes available that you can choose from: Black or White.
The surface is made from study aluminium, which both looks good, and is extremely resilient. It can reach a surface temperature of around 200-300˚C, which is hotter than traditional radiator. However, it can of course be installed well out of reach, so there’s no need to worry about it burning you by accident. Just remember to leave any heater touching until after it’s been switched off!
The bar heater comes with an IP44 rating, meaning it’s protected against any splashes of water. However, if installed outside, we recommend it is under cover, as it may not cope with heavy rain.
Please note that the advised heated areas are for guidance only. For a more accurate heated area that is more relevant to your home, please either use our Calculator located at the top of this page, or speak to one of our Customer Services advisors about your room.
When using this heater with a standard 13A socket, we recommend hard wiring the heater directly to the mains supply.
When purchasing any product from Surya Heating, you can rest assured that you’re buying authentic Mirrorstone products, that have been stringently tested to meet quality standards.
This is why you should be wary of purchasing lower quality products, which might put you or your home at risk.
Infrared heating is a revolutionary way of heating your room that doesn’t rely on the old methods that central heating tends to. Rather than heating the air around it, infrared heating actually heats the objects in the room, which is far more efficient. That’s because the surface area of the objects is less than the volume of air in the room, so it uses less energy. Infrared heating can actually save you up to 60% on your heating bills!
Infrared heating works by firing beams around the room, which bounce off the objects, leaving them warmed. Traditional heating methods work by heating the air around them, which can cause convectional currents. This is where the warm air rises, cools, and falls again, requiring more heat. Not only is this inefficient, it can also promote dust circulation, mould growth, and cold spots. As infrared heating does not do this, it can be said to be better for your health.
It is also very safe, as it uses a similar technology to that of TV remote controls. The heat it provides is also the same as what the sun does, although it does not emit any harmful UV radiation.
These bar heaters are very easy to install. You won’t need any extra help – from anyone at all. This includes electricians, plumbers, and carpenters, who simply aren’t needed for such a simple job.
It’s as simple as mounting the heater onto the wall – they’re fully plug-and-play compatible, so they just plug into the wall. It’s truly a one-person job. Each bar heater features a 1.5m cable on the right side as you are facing it, so it's simple to plan out how you'll install it.
All you have to do is line up the brackets, so you know where you have to drill into the wall.
After that, it’s as easy as screwing the rear-mounted brackets into the wall, and tightening the screws.
The brackets are also adjustable, meaning you can tilt the heater to the desired angle. The whole process just takes a few minutes.
Please be aware that if the units are not cleaned regularly, a build-up of dust may appear. Find out more about how to maintain your heaters here!
We advise installing your bar heater at a height of at least 2m from the floor.
Having total control over the bar heater can be a little confusing sometimes, especially when you are perhaps sat over the other side of the room, away from any direct heat.
That’s why we’ve given you a super-helpful red LED light built into the heater, so you know exactly what the heater is doing at any given time.
If the light is illuminated, then the heater is actively heating your room efficiently.
If the light isn’t on, then your heater is not currently heating the room. If it’s connected to an external thermostat, it could just be that the room is already at the desired temperature.
Either way, the heater is not actively emitting any heat. It’s as simple as that, and it just requires a quick glance from anywhere in the room.
Our infrared bar heaters are supplied with a fantastic 2-year warranty, to give you peace of mind about your purchase. This can be extended to 5 years completely free of charge.
They also come with a brilliant 14-day home trial period, so you could return or exchange it, if you change your mind.

i have a long living room, 7m x 4m max so worked out i need a 1800w bar panel. i removed one radiator and now the remaining radiator isnt effective in heating the room. if i place the infrared one at the end of the room, will it be effective to reach the other end? or would it be better placed closer to where we will sit (in the first half of the room - the panel would be at the far end)? i'm struggling to understand the heat distribution qualities of the heaters.
Hi, I'm looking at fitting one of these in my sunroom on the wall, the sunroom has a glass orangery roof similar to a conservatory.
