When purchasing any product from Surya Heating, you can rest assured that you’re buying authentic Mirrorstone products, that have been stringently tested to meet quality standards.
This is why you should be wary of purchasing lower quality products, which might put you or your home at risk.
For your warehouse, office, garden or home to get an additional level on heat that conventional heaters won’t provide as efficiently, try out a Mirrorstone infrared bar heater. It measures approximately 1500mm by 150mm, with a 2.4kW power output. This is enough to heat an area that’s approximately 38m2. With a depth of just 63mm, there’s no need to worry about this heater being obtrusive when it’s mounted on either your wall or ceiling.
The remote controllable variants of the Helios IR Bar Heaters also come with Wi-Fi connectivity, letting you control them via your smartphone or tablet. They can even sync up to your Google Assistant, for full voice operation too!
This heater is made from solid aluminium materials, meaning it’s both great to look at, and sturdy. It can reach a surface temperature of approximately 200-300˚C, which is hotter than a traditional radiator. However, it shouldn’t be a problem, because it can be installed much higher up the wall than a standard heater, or even on the ceiling. This puts it well out of reach of prying fingers.
It comes with an IP44 rating, so it’s protected against any accidental splashes of water. However, if it is to be installed outside, then it’s best to be under cover, in case of any heavy rain.

When using this heater with a standard 13A socket, we recommend hard wiring the heater directly to the mains supply.
Very. Infrared heating has quite a few advantages over more traditional heating methods, especially its efficiency. Infrared heating works by heating the objects in the room, rather than the air around it, as radiators do. This is more efficient, as the surface area of the objects is smaller than the volume of air in any given space. This helps infrared heating to help you save up to 60% on your heating bills!
Infrared heating shoots infrared beams around the room, which bounce off of the objects in the room, leaving them warmed. Traditional heaters warm the air, which causes convectional currents. This is where the warm air rises, cools, and falls again, requiring more heat. It also causes dust circulation, mould growth, and cold spots, which can negatively affect your health.
As infrared heating does not do this, it can be seen as better for your health. Infrared heating is also completely safe, despite the idea of radiation sounding scary. It’s completely harmless, being the same that TV remote controls use, or what our bodies and the sun emit. However, infrared panels do not emit any ultraviolet rays like the sun does.
Our 1800w Helios Infrared Bar Heater comes with Wi-Fi connectivity built in out of the box. What does this mean for you? Simple: all you need to do is download the Smart Life app on your Android or iOS device, connect the app to the bar heater using the instructions in the manual in the box (or by downloading the manual directly from us), and that's it! You can take advantage of features such as the hourly timer function, zone control and family sharing! It really is that easy to take your heating into the 21st century!
Simply scan the QR code on the left to download the Smart Life app, and you'll be a step closer to enjoying smart heating!
You don’t need to worry about trying to install this heater, as it’s very easy to mount. You won’t need any additional help at all – let alone any electricians, plumbers or carpenters. You can do it all yourself! They are completely plug-and-play compatible, so there’s no real work to do, other than actually mounting the heater onto the wall.
Each heater comes with a 1.5m cable, found on the right side of the heater as you face it. This makes it easy to install it where you want without compromising on convenience.
It’s very easy to do, with no difficult steps at all. All you need to do is drill a few holes into the wall, and you’re ready to go. Just screw the two rear-mounted brackets into the wall, and you can plug it into the wall. Remember, the brackets are actually adjustable, too, so you can direct the heat at specific angles.
We advise installing your bar heater at a height of at least 2m from the floor.
If you’re hoping to control this heater from the comfort of your own chair, without having to resort to walking over to use the control panel, then you’re in luck.
This heater is fully remote controllable, and the IR signal remote control is included! It’s very easy to use, it’s slim, it looks great, and it makes your life much more convenient.
You can adjust the temperature with ease, whether you need more or less heat to help you get comfortable.
You can switch the display on and off, if you wish to make the heater look a little more discreet. You can also set a sleep timer with the remote, if you wish for the heater to turn off after a certain amount of hours.
If you’re after a little more information on what the heater is up to, then it’s not too difficult to find out.
The helpful LED screen on the right-hand side of the panel will let you know anything you need to know about what’s going on with your panel at any given moment.
Imagine you’re not anywhere near the heater and you need to know what it’s doing – for example, you’re inside, and it is outside.
Luckily, the LED screen lets you know what the desired target temperature is, and there’s a blue graphic above this that flickers and bounces to let you know that the bar heater is actually emitting heat. It also helps you when you set the sleep timer.
Please be aware that if the units are not cleaned regularly, a build-up of dust may appear. Find out more about how to maintain your heaters here!

Hi, what are the main differences between this bar heater (2.4kW) and a white panel heater? The bar heater is about half the price for the same KW? thanks, John
I am interested in purchasing a bar infrared heater for my kitchen. I would like to put the heater high up above a window is there a minimum distance that the heater should be installed below a ceiling? The distance I have below the coving to the top of the opening for the window is 200 mm.
Can I install it upside down? I would want to do this due to the position of my plug
Is it safe to plug the 2400 watts Helios Infrared Bar Heater, into an extension lead given that the 1m50 lead is too short for a wall fixing at 2m height?
Is it possible to get an electrician to extend the power cable, as the cable will be too short to reach my available socket in my loft?
I would like to install this on the sloped ceiling of a conservatory that has been covered inside with plasterboard. Is it possible?
I recently purchased this 2400w Helios Bar heater and am struggling to get it to connect to our wifi using the Smart life app. I have changed the settings so that it is the 2.4GHz in the options, but the instructions in it aren't very clear. It says to hold a reset button on the heater... there isn't one! its also asking to confirm rapid blinking then a slow blink, but it never changes. The instructions in the guide don't help to troubleshoot at all. It's very confusing. Can anyone help please?
Please can you tell me how to release the lock function using remote control. Thank you
What's the best placement of the heater? Can it be fitted as a standard radiator or it is best positioned high up on a wall?
Would the 2400W bar heater be suitable for heating an open plan living and kitchen area of 26 square meters in a static caravan? And would you recommend it be ceiling or wall mounted. Secondly, would 1 of these heaters or 2 of the 1200w heater be better for heating, thank you.
I have installed a 2400 watt Helios heater. As per guidance from your Jess Hancock I have tried to use it in conjunction with a Hive plug. Unfortunately when the plug switches off the heater only comes back on on standby awaiting remote control turn on. In addition the set temperature is at 35 degrees C. Is it possible to adjust this switch on temperature to 20 degrees C? Is it possible to stop the heater going to standby when switched off then on by a Hive plug? I would need to do both these things to allow Hive control. Many thanks, Nigel.
I have just purchased a 2400 watt heater for our conservatory. The heater will be mounted on a house wall nominally 2.2 m high. It will be about the same high as some pendant light fittings - glass shade and metal. What is the minimum distance recommended from the lights? I may be able to lift them to 2.3 to 2.4 m. Or I may be able to fix the heater higher by 200 mm. Which is the best option? Also I am to install a spur socket near the heater. The instructions say not above - if so can it go below and in that case how close? Many thanks, Nigel.
Hi How does the timer work? Could you set it to come on and off for more than 1 cycle over 24 hours, and is there a maximum length of time you can have the heater in the off position? Could the heater be wired into an independent timer? Regards
Can you confirm the bar heater can be mounted from a ceiling and as they're running at 230 voltage am I correct in thinking I can hardwire the unit onto the terrace of our holiday home in Spain?
Hi Do you have installation instructions re: the minimum distances from surrounding structures ? Thanks
Hi. Do your infrared heaters emit light (other than from the digital display)? Thanks
Good evening, Can this heater be install outside on a wall?
Are these suitable to be wall mounted to a WOODEN log cabin gazebo style structure? It says the surface temp is 115C. Will this burn the wood and cause a fire? Thanks
Does this come with the remote control? Thank you
Hi, what is the price per kilowatt per hour for this unit. Many thanks
Hi , are these suitable for conservatory? Thanks
Are these heaters plug in or do they need to be hard wired? If they are plug in how long are the wires? Thank you
