Please note that this heater is NOT a remote option. If you would like a remote control heater, try the 1.2kW Helios Wi-Fi Remote Controllable Infrared Bar Heater.
Add some powerful heat to your home, office, or warehouse with a fantastic Mirrorstone infrared bar heater. Efficient, eco-friendly, and better looking than a radiator infrared is the future of heating technology. This bar heater measures approximately 940mm by 150mm, and with a 1.2kW heater, can heat an area of around 18m2. With a depth of just 63mm, this bar heater will not stick out too much.
Made from premium aluminium materials, you can trust this heater will not fail. It can reach a surface temperature of around 200-300˚C. This is nothing to be alarmed about however, as they can be installed far higher up on the wall than a traditional radiator, right up near the ceiling. This means it’s far out of reach of any accidental touches.
It has an IP44 rating, meaning it is protected against splashes of water. However, we would advise that if it’s installed outside, it is under cover, just in case of heavy rain.

When purchasing any product from Surya Heating, you can rest assured that you’re buying authentic Mirrorstone products, that have been stringently tested to meet quality standards.
This is why you should be wary of purchasing lower quality products, which might put you or your home at risk.
Infrared heating is a brilliant new way of heating your indoor or outdoor space. It is more efficient, more eco-friendly, and, frankly, looks better than traditional heating methods. It heats your room in a completely different way to a conventional radiator. Rather than heating the air around it, it actually heats the objects in the room, which requires less energy. It can actually save around 60% on your heating bills!
It fires infrared beams around the room, which bounce off the objects, leaving them warmed. By doing this, you can avoid convectional currents. When a traditional heater warms the air, it rises to the ceiling, cools, and falls again, requiring more heat. This is obviously less efficient, and can have a negative effect on your health. That’s because it promotes dust circulation, mould growth, and cold spots. Because an infrared heater does not do this, it can actually be seen as better for your health.
Infrared heating is also completely safe, even though it sounds scary. It’s just the same technology that TV remote controls use! It provides the same kind of heat that the sun does, but without any nasty UV radiation.
At first glance, it might be difficult to know exactly what your infrared bar heater is up to at any given moment.
If you’re sat some distance away from the heater, you may not know if it’s on or not. You don’t need to worry though, as we’ve included a little something to make your life easier.
To make it simple, whenever the panel is on and emitting heat, a small red LED light will turn on. When the bar heater is off, the LED will follow suit and switch off itself.
This useful feature lets you know when your heater is doing its job and when it’s been told not to, so you can rest assured it is definitely doing as you’ve asked.
These heaters are very easy to install – you won’t need any professional help at all.
You won’t need to get in touch with any plumbers, electricians, or carpenters, as it’s honestly just a one-person job. The heaters are fully plug-and-play compatible, so you can do it all yourself. The 1.5m cable is found on the right side of the heater as you face it, which will help you plan out where you're going to install it.
The only real work that needs doing is just the mounting of the heater.
It’s simple to do, as the brackets are adjustable. Just drill the holes into the wall, and you’re ready to mount it. With the two rear-mounted brackets, screw the heater into the wall.
As the brackets are adjustable, too, so you can direct the heat to different areas.
Please be aware that if the units are not cleaned regularly, a build-up of dust may appear. Find out more about how to maintain your heaters here!
We advise installing your bar heater at a height of at least 2m from the floor.

Mirrorstone also provide these with an amazing 2-year warranty, so you may shop with confidence. You can extend this to 5 years at no extra cost.

Hi, I have purchased a couple of 1200W bar heaters and delivered to me on Monday. They were installed to ceiling and I am amazed seeing how quickly room is heated up to desired temperature. However, observed that when the heater was switched on for the first time there was burnt smell from the heater and when it turns off after reaching the set temperature there was some clicking noise, infact not just one time but 3 to 5 clicking noises. Is this normal and will the mentioned smell and clicking noises go away after a few on/offs. Please advise Thanks
Can the 1200 be put on a mantelpiece? Or on the hearth?
Hi, just purchased this and thinking it may be too much for the job! I plan to install in a gazebo. It is intended to be mounted directly to the cross beam which sits about 2.1 meters high. It will have about 20 cm clearance to the wooden roof. Is it safe for install? concerned it may get too hot so close to wooden structure.
Hi. I’m hoping to fit one outside under a poly roof. How much clearance would be required to the roof please ?
Is it suitable to I stall in a bathroom??
I have just received my heater today it is not a wifi one and my husband is wondering how you control the temperature of it
Hi, I am wanting to heat a conservatory that is currently being used as a bedroom. The roof has been insulated and boarded, can the 1200w Helios Infrared Bar Heater be mounted to the ceiling with the mounting kitand does it have a remote control?
Approx. how much floor space will this cover in a hall if mounted at 4m? I ask because we have a former church hall - 250m2 - don't want to use too much power, and would rather have a greater number of smaller units so we've got some flexibility (often people will be moving around in workshops so will have less heating need - sometimes though people will be sat e.g. if room is used for conferences). Plugs have been fitted high and switches at ground level with these heaters in mind - we just need to make sure we get the right wattage.
Do the Helios bar heaters that do not have a remote control include a thermostat control?
Is there a small version than the 1200 and can it be ceiling mounted. Thx
Hi, Thjs looks great with many positive reviews, but it isn't clear if this is suitable for a wood cabin given how hot the unit gets when running. Is there a fire risk or special considerations when fitting it wood walls or ceilings to ensure safety and reliability? Thanks Mark
Hello As shown in the picture the power switch is on the right side, can this be rotated 180 so it’s on the left side.
Would this be suitable in a campervan?
What are the guidelines/ instructions for mounting distances from combustible surfaces such as plasterboard ceiling or timber. Can you forward an installation guide. Thanks
Having difficulty with the internet connection and can't find any details re connecting to the wifi, using the timer, setting temperatures etc. Can you please help.Regards Peter Bucklkey
would this be suitable to run from a hearth on the fireplace surround thanks
We are short of space in our kitchen, if fitted to wall how much space do we need between ceiling and heater. We were thinking putting it above door.
I have a gazebo on the patio approximately 11m2 which I would like to heat. Being open the infrared style seems best. What size would you recommend bearing in mind the open sides. It can be protected under the roof.
Is there a guide for installation onto a wall?
Where are your panels made. Are they made in the UK...?
Looking into getting the 1200w bar for a bedroom in a static, how much does it cost to run an hour, we are on 11p per KWH.
We have just purchased the 1200w bar heater. Can we fix this vertically on the wall.

I'm looking at the 1200w Helios Infrared Bar Heater. Can this be used with a timer? I need to install heating in a holiday chalet which is let out to holiday makers, but don't want my guests to have the heating on 24/7. What do you suggest? Also, how is the heat controlled. is there a thermostat or different heat settings?
If these are positioned high, and we want to put one in a swimming pool enclosure, and there's only 1.5m cable, how is it switched on /off?
Hi what length is the wire on these bar heaters to plug in ?
Hi, can these bar heaters be hung from the ceiling?
Hi, is this better suitable for outdoors? It will be positioned under some soffit board. Do you have covers to protect when not in use? Thanks
1. Does it 'glow'? If in a dark room e.g. bedroom will it be visibly on? 2. Since it presumably blasts out infrared, does it affect operation of infrared remote controls in the same room?
Hello, can this heater be connected directly to the mains by an electrician? Are any extras needed like a thermostat? Thank you
