For a brand new way of heating your home efficiently, then infrared heating is surely the way forward. This small but mighty panel measures just 595mm by 595mm, but packs a lot of power for its small size. At just 22mm deep, it’s perfect for mounting on either your wall or your ceiling, as it fits nice and flush against the surface.
The panel has a premium FIR Coating surface, which can reach temperatures of between 75 and 95°C. Don’t worry, though – this is just as hot as a conventional radiator, and can also be mounted well out of reach. It has an IP54 rating, which means it can handle splashes of water with ease.
This 350W heater can heat a moderately insulated space of around 5-6m2.
Please note that the advised heated areas are for guidance only. For a more accurate heated area that is more relevant to your home, please either use our Calculator located at the top of this page, or speak to one of our Customer Services advisors about your room.
By choosing the ceiling mount option when purchasing your panel, a Suspension Kit will also be dispatched with your order. We advise leaving a gap of at least 5cm between the ceiling and panel once installed in order to ensure adequate airflow behind the heater.
This panel will come with a clear film on its front that needs to be peeled off before first use. If you use the heater before peeling the film off, the film may discolour and melt onto the surface of the heater.
One of the major benefits of infrared heating is its eco-friendliness, and the way it can save you money. It’s very efficient, and can in fact save you an enormous 60% on your heating bills! The way it does this is by actually heating what needs to be heated. Infrared beams are scattered across your room, bouncing off objects, and warming them up. These are the same beams as a standard TV remote control, so you know they’re safe.
Conventional heaters only warm the air around them, which causes convectional currents. This forces them to work harder, as the hot air rises to the ceiling, cools, and falls again. This is how infrared heating benefits your health, as it means the air is less stuffy, and there’s no dust circulation.
Our infrared panels come with a brand new, highly advanced premium FIR Coating to help maximise the performance of your heater. It’s heat-resistant – meaning it can withstand temperatures up to 200oC without yellowing over time.
Not only that, but it will also help the carbon crystal heating element inside the panel distribute the IR waves better than ever before, thanks to a higher thermal efficiency, resulting in even more warmth in your home.
To top it all off, the coating is also far more secure than ever before, as it is fire resistant, ensuring your family and your home stay safe and warm.
Our NXTGEN heaters are full Lot20 compliant, making them both smart and efficient. With a 39% of a maximum 40% rating, you can rest assured these are fully capable heaters.
They have automated temperature control, which means the panel will automatically regulate the heat to that temperature.
They also have a 7-day timer, too, so you can set different four different timers in 5+2 mode, or two different timers in 1-7 mode, for nice cosy lie-ins.
Plus, it has open window detection, so if it detects that the temperature has dropped 1.5°C in three minutes, then it switches off, to avoid inefficiency.
For more information on these brilliant NXT Gen heaters, see our NXT Gen IR Panel manual, and see just how fantastic they truly are.
Every NXTGEN IR panel comes with a brilliant remote control, which allows you to control many different aspects of the heating. It’s easy to use, and full of different features.
The electronic thermostat is far more accurate than a traditional mechanical one, too, so have no worries about over or under heating the house.
You can easily adjust the temperature of your panel, and set your weekly timers too, so you know you’re not wasting energy.
Plus, a vastly underrated feature is being able to turn your heating on and off without having to trek to your boiler or wall-mounted thermostat.
You can also pair the remote to multiple heaters, if you wish, to control your heating system as a group.
With so many features built into our NXT Gen range, it might be difficult to follow exactly what it’s doing at any given moment. You needn’t worry though, as we’ve put something in to make your life easier.
Enter our blue LED light.
Quite simply, when the panel is on and emitting heat, a small blue LED will light up. When the panel is off – maybe it’s maintaining your current temperature or it’s the middle of the night – the LED will be off!
This handy little feature tells you when your panel is doing its job and when it’s having a break, so you can be sure it is definitely following your settings!
With such a slimline profile, you don’t have to worry about it taking up too much room. Far from a clunky radiator or an in-the-way portable heater, our heaters can be fitted and forgotten about.
They’re far better than radiators as they take up less space, and can be mounted higher up on the wall, or even on the ceiling. This is because they don’t rely on the heat they produce rising, as they actually bounce the infrared waves off of multiple objects.
They’re easy to install, too, as they are just mounted on screws in the wall. Thanks to the brackets on the back, it’s easy to mount on either the ceiling or the wall. Plus, with an infrared panel stand, you can take your panel to other rooms with ease.
Every single one of our white infrared heating panels comes with a fantastic 2-year warranty, to give you peace of mind about your purchase. You can also upgrade this to 5 years for free!
We also give you a brilliant 14-day home trial period, so if you change your mind about your purchase, you can either exchange it or get a refund.

Hi - i have seen a few people commenting when they apply these to a ceiling - the panel itself has the thermostat on it - so when its been on for a few minutes later it shuts off because the heat has risen and tricked the thermostat to thinking the ambient temperature of the room is hotter than it is. As this system has a separate temperature control - can you advise if the thermostat is in the wireless remote - or still inside the panel?
The Mirrorstone documentation describes ceiling mounting using brackets rather than wires: you seem to sell the brackets mentioned as a seperate item. Is there a reason you only list your suspension system for ceiling mounting? As I prefer brackets should I just specify wall mounting and then order the bracket set seperately?
Hi, Looking to see how many heaters I would need to have for a double garage and a utility room? Having issues with the pipes freezing in the winter for the washing machine, so would be looking to set the temperature at a minimum of 5 degrees. Also store my cars in the garage aswell. Thanks.
How hot does the back if the panel get. I fear it may melt the ceiling paneling which is a corrugated plastic over plasterboard
Hello, I am interested in the infrared panels, but wondered if they work better on the ceiling or the wall, or if it doesn’t matter! Many thanks Becky
Hi would this be suitable in an outdoor detached garage fitted above a workbench, i.e. heating up only the work area and not the whole garage
Hi, I have been looking for a heater for my bedroom and came across a number of suggestions for IR heaters. Simultaneously, I have also come across a number of reviews mentioning that they're ineffective. I have researched the science of IR heating and I'm aware that there is a "method" to its use which, if not done correctly, can make them ineffective so I'm not concerned as to whether they can work. My question, I guess, is whether it will. My bedroom is medium sized and I'd like to know what wattage/size is best for this type of room. Also, any advice on the best place to mount the panel for maximum efficiency? Many thanks.
Hi, can be fixed in the ceiling?
Can they be used in a bathroom
How much does it cost to run on average
Hello, Can you tell me which is the best NXT heater for a room that is 15m square please? Also, I only have plasterboard walls, will the mounting brackets be OK for plasterboard? Thanks Ciaran
How many kw’s do these use? What temperature can they get up to? Do you have to have a certain amount of space round them. I only have 30cm each way.
1. Is it possible to mount the panel at 45 degrees between wall and ceiling? 2. How quickly does the temperature drop off as you move away from the panel. ie. at say 1, 2 & 3 feet away? 3. Does the controller have a mode, so I can just instantly switch on for say, half hour at a time, without having to remember to switch it off? Cheers.
Hi 350w do I need special cabling or I can just plug this in normal socket?
Hi, im looking to purchase one of the 350W NXT Gen Infrared Heating Panels and have 2 questions 1) Is this suitable for use in a bathroom environment? 2) Can the mains power for this be taken from a domestic lighting circuit?
