Some of man’s greatest structural creations come head to head with the very best that nature has to offer, on this stunning image panel of a bolt of lightning striking the city of New York.
Ominous clouds dominate the skies, which are only lit up by the furious lightning struck down by menacing thunderstorms. The city lights that never sleep, pale in comparison to the fearsome spectacle that millions are at the mercy of.
This awesome reminder of just what nature can do would look amazing on a living room wall, whilst providing 350W of clean, healthy infrared heat.
The PET (polyethylene terephthalate) surface, measuring 595 x 595 x 22mm, reaches temperatures of up to 115oC, though it does remain safe to touch.
Even then, with an image like this, we would recommend mounting it up on a wall. All the brackets and screws are provided in the box, along with a template so you can see exactly where you need to drill the holes.
Make sure you check out our special offers and discounts, where you could score money off your panel! Better yet, if you think you’re eligible for a trade account, why not discover some of the benefits of becoming a trade customer?
We’ve got a wide range of image IR panel heaters to choose from, with a huge variety of striking images to choose from for your panel.
If you like the 600 x 600mm size and power of our featured heating panel, but aren’t so much a fan of the chaos of thunder and lighting, then perhaps the slightly more serene 600 x 600 Lakeside Mountain Printed IR Heating Panel is more for you.
The specs are the same as our featured image panel, with the same 350W of power available to you, only now you have a snow-capped mountain stood silently in front of the tranquillity of a still lake.
Infrared heating differs massively when compared to the convection radiators that we’ve become so used to.
Convection radiators work by heating the air around them, and creating a convection current. Infrared panels differ, primarily because they use infrared waves. This heats the objects themselves instead of the air, which carry a number of advantages.
Because infrared heat works by heating objects rather than the total volume of air, they consume massively lower levels of energy compared to electric convection heaters. This means a smaller carbon footprint, and less stress on the environment.
It also means...
Lower energy requirements aren’t just helpful for the environment, they save you lots of money on your electricity bills too. We’ve done some analysis on a case study comparing the use of IR panels to electric heaters and gas powered central heating that highlight this.
It’s also worth knowing that our IR panels don’t need any servicing too, as there are no moving parts unlike your boiler, which could cost you thousands if something was to go wrong.
Convection currents circulate air, dirt and mites. These particles promote the spreading of germs and bacteria, increasing the likelihood of you being affected by it.
Not only that, but warm air of traditional heating absorbs moisture, increasing the chance that you’ll develop dampness in your walls. The IR heating doesn't work like that.
Infrared provides dry heat, that doesn’t circulate dust and mites, giving you a healthy, safe heat that’s refreshing and doesn’t give you a stuffy feeling.
As you can see, infrared panel heaters are available with images on them – you can even have your own pictures printed on them for the ultimate personal touch.
This means that they blend into your existing decor, with the images hiding the fact that they’re providing heat altogether.
In a more practical sense, this means that you won’t end up with any dead space – all of your floor space is available to you, without you having to worry that you’re blocking radiators.
Working out how many IR heating panels you need for any given room is easy when you know how. Simply measure your room in metres, and multiply the numbers together to get the volume of the room.
Then, you can work out what the total wattage requirement is depending on how well insulated your home is.
Well insulated homes need 20W per cubic metre, moderately insulated homes need 25W per cubic metre, and poorly insulated homes will need 30W per cubic metre.
Multiplying the relevant figure with the volume of your room gives you the total wattage, so from here you can get a rough estimation as to how many panels you need.
We’ve got a detailed guide on how buy infrared heating panels, with an example too, if you’re having any difficulty understanding the process.
As standard, you’re covered by our 14 day home trial policy. During this period, you’re fully entitled to a refund or exchange if you’re not happy with anything.
You just need to send the panel back with all original parts and packaging, in condition fit for sale.
All our IR panels also come with a 5 year replacement warranty, covering you for any unlikely faults that may occur in the longer term.
If you’ve got any more questions about this heating panel, how to maintain it, how to buy for a particular room, or anything else, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

Simply use the drill template to drill into your wall, insert the wall plugs into the holes, and then place the screws inside the wall plugs. Finally, mount the panel by lining up the brackets with the protruding screws, pushing towards the wall, and then downwards to fix into place.
You can save up to 60% off your energy bills compared to other types of electric heating. Not only that, but infrared panels also require zero maintenance as they have no moving parts. They’re also IP44 rated, making them safe to use in bathrooms and kitchens.
