What Is Nexus?

Nexus is the name of our fantastically smart range of Wi-Fi connected panels. Simply put, using the Smart Life app, you can pair your panel to your phone and to your Wi-Fi signal. This opens up a massive range of control options for you to add extra flexibility to your life.

As an added bonus, each Nexus panel comes with a handy remote control. This means that even if your Wi-Fi connection drops, you’ll still be able to turn your panel on and off and adjust your goal temperature.

Crucially, Nexus panels offer up all the same benefits as our other infrared panels, including helping reduce your bills, your reliance on gas or oil heating and promoting good health. They’re also great for the environment as they can be paired with a solar panel array or other green sources of electricity.

Please note that Nexus panels can only be used with 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi signal. Most routers will send out a 2.4Ghz signal, but some dual-band models also send out a 5Ghz signal. Most 5GHz signals will have a 5 somewhere in the name, so you can tell the difference at a glance.

What Are The Benefits?

There are loads! The most obvious is that you can manage your panel from literally anywhere in the world thanks to the Smart Life app.

Think about that: let’s imagine you’ve just arrived in the office for the day and realise you don’t know if you turned your panel off when you left the house? Just open the Smart Life app and check! If you have, you can turn it off, saving you from a costly mistake.

Even if you don’t tend to make these mistakes, that level of distance control offers up loads of options. Hate getting out of bed to a cold house in the morning? Pop your panel on and enjoy a much toastier room. Or you could turn your panel on as you head home from work, so you have a much more welcoming home.

You can also set a range of timers if you’d prefer to automate this process.

Cool, What Are My Options?

You actually have several choices to make when buying a Nexus panel!

Firstly, just like with all our other panel ranges, we offer a range of sizes and power levels for you to choose from, varying between 350W to 1200W. You can use our wattage calculator to figure out which panel is right for your room, or give us a call and we can help you choose.

Now you’ll need to decide how you panel looks. Each model comes with a frame in a choice of colours. A White frame is free, but we also offer black and silver frames for a small additional cost.

You can also choose different designs for your panel.

The basic Nexus model has a clean, modern, white surface, and this is ideal for the vast majority of spaces. It looks discrete and blends in well to existing décor.

However, some of you want to add a bit of extra personalisation, and that’s where our image panels come in. You can choose from a huge range of pre-made designs, or take advantage of our custom image printing service to have your very own design printed onto your panel. Both versions offer the exact same functionality as the white Nexus panels.
